Define Internet of Things (IOT)

For me Internet of Things (IOT) is a concept used to describe the relationship of devices related to technology and their ability to transfer information and data without human intervention and withe use of internet.

What brought this theory about?

I think the need of people to access information is the trigger of formation of this theory. Nowadays, information is also a need. It will be difficult to live in a society if you will not work with information. 

Do you like the concept IOT? Why or why not?

Yes, I do like the concept of IOT since it is the goal of humanity to minimize the burden of accessing information. It will also help each countries to develop their own nations economically through the help of information. The development the it will made will be a huge step for all people to achieve equality. 

In what situations do you encounter IOT in the Philippines?

Some mobile applications like Mobile Legends are created by Filipino developers. Also, innovations sponsored by Department of Science and Technology (DOST) recently these year might be a huge step of information technology in the Philippines for it to be globally- competitive. 

How do you think IOT will evolve and affect Filipino society in the next 3 to 5 years?

Filipino developers of some applications in mobile devices do not only reach the peak of their product locally but also internationally. Through these, as the demand of information and computer technology on the Philippines increases, it will also help on the increase of net profit by the Philippines, as computed by the Gross National Product of the Philippines.

What do you think is the cause of IOT in Media and Information Literacy?

Media serves as the channel of transporting information from different parts of the world. IOT will now be the basis of creating and innovating different media products, eliminating some of the limitations of past technological innovations. Information, as innovation become ideal, will disseminate faster and it can travel even in the corners of the globe.
