Three Major Types of Media and Examples

My Own Definition of Different Media Classification

1. Print Media- Any information that can be reproduced mechanically like the use of printing machines in creating newspapers and books. 

2. Broadcast Media- It is the use of media to spread the information to a large number of people through signal and waves.

3. New Media- It is the use of media involving Internet and other Digital Devices.

Media Convergence

1. Describe how new technologies have led to the convergence of traditional and new media. 
    New technologies help us to make our lives easier and to make obtaining information ideal. It includes improving and retaining some functions of traditional media. These revisions from traditional media makes traditional and new media converged.  
2. Explain how media convergence creates new opportunities for interaction. 
    Media converges with different subject matters of communication and interaction. It channels different people all over the world as one. It also provides opportunity to make an occupation. Online buy and sell is abundant here in the Philippines. Also, the news posted online gives an opportunity for all media-users to be aware what's happening in our environment. Lastly, it can help all learners because of its variety of vast and wide information and helpful platforms such as Learning Management Systems (Edmodo, Quipper School and Google Class). 
3. Describe the use of one or two forms of new media to share knowledge and information on a current issue in society. 
     New media in convergence with news, provides information to many users of media easily. This convenient way of transporting information helps media consumers to be aware on the events happening in their environment. 
4. Explain how a person could be portrayed in public in the age of media convergence.  
     A person can now be easily portrayed in public since there is a fast and wide spread of information. Also, media, in convergence with entertainment, serves as channel for people to know or portray more of media personalities.
